FIDER-accredited Interior Design Schools in Florida

The Foundation for Interior Design Education Research accredits design programs in order to "ensure a high level of quality in interior design education to meet the needs of students, the interior design profession, and society." Florida is home to five outstanding interior design programs:
  • Florida State University in Tallahassee offers both a B.S. and a B.A. in Interior Design through its Department of Interior Design. Contact Eric Wiedegreen, Chairperson.
  • The International Academy of Design in Tampa offers the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design degree through its Interior Design Program. Contact Patricia Johnston, Chairperson.
  • Miami International University of Art and Design awards a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design through its Interior Design Department. Contact Gregory Hoffman, Chairperson.
  • Ringling School of Art and Design, Sarasota offers the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design through its Interior Design Department. Contact Norman Hervieux, Department Head of Interior Design.
  • The University of Florida, Gainesville, offers a Bachelor of Design degree through the Department of Interior Design in the College of Design, Construction, and Planning. Contact Margaret Portillo, Chair.
